Top Condor Crew on flight BKK-FRA !

Premium offers more space, but the seats have the comfort of a garden bench with a ceiling. Food more at economy level. Folding tables in row 11 require slim guests, otherwise the sharp table edges on the body interfere. Bluetooth Earphones did not work.

Price wins overall. Premium Economy offers its own cabin with lots of overhead and leg space. Amenity Kits rival competitors. Cabin Service above par.

Seats and seatback are thin, uncomfortable for long haul. Armrests thin, but lift if you need more room. Bulkhead A + K lack leg room because of life raft storage. Food menu lacking in P.E field. Bluetooth touchscreen did not work.

Comfortable seats considering the nominal 30” pitch, 17.5” width and 8.5º recline. Friendly and attentive cabin crew in Y class, excellent PVS (Personal Video System), with large screens and the ability to pair with one’s own Bluetooth headsets. As one might expect from a German leisure airline, video offerings were leaning towards a German audience, but were also available in English.

Early evening departure with a simple, but uninspired hot meal within two hours after takeoff and a breakfast snack two hours before landing. The condor website has a few quirks that one needs to master and I noticed that a transatlantic return tickets costs only marginally more than a one-way ticket on the same route.

Seats more comfortable than 30” pitch, 17.5” width and 8.5º recline suggests. Proximity to a restroom and stairs to crew rest compartment did not affect comfort. Liked the ability to pair personal headset to rather large PVS screen. Friendly crew.

Lavatories, except the one for people with limited mobility are rather compact. Food service was basic and selection of beverages was limited showing condor’s origins as leisure airline.

As a 6'3" Economy passenger I was perfectly comfortable - didn't feel like 30" pitch. Recline was plentiful, yet didn't use it. Service impeccable, food was good but lighter. For my 10 hour flight, I did bring an additional sandwich and snacks. Plenty of WCs - rarely had a wait.

Beware of gate lice - there's always a large crowd of end groupers blocking the way of other passengers - so go right to the front of the gate as soon as your group is called. No air at seat; layer to adjust your comfort. No AC power - just USB.
